Teams will be announced by email about 7 days before the season starts.
When will I find out who the coach is?
This will come out with the Team announcement. Please note that we rely on parents and current and ex-players to fill these volunteer roles as coaches.
When will I find out when training is?
Training is once a week on a weekday. The day/time/venue will be advised with the Team announcement. This can’t be advised any earlier because it is dependent upon the number of teams formed and coach/venue availability,
When will the games be?
The Saints participates in the domestic competition which is run by the McKinnon Basketball Association (MBA). Age groups will be played on the following days:
U8 to U18 Boys – Saturdays
U8 to U18 Girls – Sundays
Senior Men’s and Women’s teams – Sundays
The fixtures are determined by the MBA and game times will be released before the competition starts. Your team manager should also advise you on a weekly basis where and when games are.
What happens if I don’t get my uniform order in time?
We aim to have all players in uniforms by the start of the season.
There will be a cut-off date advised to all members when registrations open. If you order after the advised cut-off date and we don’t have the size in stock, then players can wear a plain t-shirt and shorts without pockets/pockets taped for the first 4 rounds of the season without penalty.
How long does the Season run?
A normal season is generally 14 to 16 rounds long (excluding long weekends, school holidays & finals). Summer Season runs Terms 4 and 1. Winter Season runs Terms 2 and 3.
Will the teams change?
Teams can change in the first couple of weeks of the season as Team Coordinators assess players in a competition environment.
How can I get involved?
All parents are required to take their turn scoring or running the clock for matches. Your Team Manager should set up a schedule for the season.
